Mukesh Singh IPS,  Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, today visited Kathua  and Samba to review Law & Order, security and Crime scenario and chaired an introductory meeting with all the Gazetted Officers and SHOs/IC PPs of both the districts.

Shridhar Patil, IPS SSP Kathua,  Shakti K. Pathak, SSP Samba, Ramnish Gupta Addl SP Kathua, Vikrant Sharma CPO, all supervisory officers, SHOs and other Police officers were present in the meeting.

At the outset SSP Kathua and Samba briefed IGP Jammu Zone about the Law & order , crime and security scenario along with other activities being carried out by Police in the districts .He also highlightedmeasures adopted to strengthen security grid and improve policing.

IGP Jammu Zone in his first visit interacted with allofficers during an introductory meeting, reviewed crime pattern of the area andissued directions to them to improve Police working and better publicrelations. Besides, IGP also emphasized to adopt measures to deal drug menacestringently and directed them to infuse extraordinary efforts to put kingpinsof the drug smuggling behind bars. Highlighting prevalent situation across IB,IGP directed all the officers to remain alert and vigilant and adopt foolproofsecurity system to neutralize any terrorist activity in their area ofresponsibility.

SSP Kathua and Samba assured IGP Jammu Zone for wholeheartedefforts to achieve the targets.
